The following two transactions are not recorded in this type of cash book. The reasons for non-recording are explained as follows: –

Jan.25 Purchased goods from Raj on credit 20,000

This transaction is credit transaction but in the cash book, only cash transactions are recorded, So, this transaction will not be recorded in the cash book.”

Jan.31 Paid rent by cheque 5,000

“We are preparing a single column cash book with cash column only but in this transaction, the payment has made by cheque, So, this transaction will not be recorded in this type of cash book.”
