Calculated debt-equity ratio from the following information:

Particulars
Current liabilities 50,000
Total debts 2,00,000
Total assets 3,25,000

The solution of Question 21 Chapter 7 – Unimax Publication Class 12 Part 2-2021 : –

Long term debts = Total debts – short term debts
  =2,00,000 – 50,000
  = ₹ 1,50,000
As assets = Liabilities
Labilities = Shareholder fund + long term debts + short term debts
3,25,000 = Shareholder fund + 1,50,000 + 50,000
Shareholder fund = 3,25,000 – 2,00,000
  = ₹ 1,25,000
Debt – Equity Ratio = = Long term debts    
  Shareholder fund  
  = 1,50,000    
  1,25,000
  = 1.2 : 1 Ans.
