 From the following information calculation the debt-equity ratio and the current ratio:

Debenture 1,40,000
Long Term Loans 70,000
Bank balance 30,000
Debtors 70,000
General reserve 40,000
Creditors 66,000
Share capital 1,20,000
Bills payable 14,000

The solution of Question 17 Chapter 7 – Unimax Publication Class 12 Part 2-2021 : –

(i) Debt – Equity Ratio = = Long term debts    
  Shareholder fund  
  = 1,40,000 + 70,000    
  40,000 +1,20,000  
    = 2,10,000    
    1,60,000  
    = 1.31 : 1  Ans..    
(ii) Current Ratio = = Current Assets    
  Current Liabilities  
  = 30,000 + 70,000    
  66,000 = 14,000  
  = 2,10,000    
  1,60,000  
  = 1 .25 : 1 or 5 : 4 Ans.
