Question 24 Chapter 2 of +2-A

24. A, B and C are partners sharing profits and losses in the ratio of 2 : 2 : 1 respectively. A is entitled to a commission of 10% on the net profit. Net profit for the year is 1,10,000.
Determine the amount of commission payable to A.

The solution of Question 24 Chapter 2 of +2-A: 

Calculation of commission to A
Net Profit before charging commission = Rs 1,10,000
Rate of Commission to A = 10%
Commission to A = 10% of the Net Profit before charging such commission

=1,10,000 X 10
100

Commission to A =11,000/-
