66. Gross profit of a company was 25%. Its indirect expenses were 50,000 and cash sales was 2,00,000. The credit sales was 75% of the total sales. Calculate net profit ratio was the company.

The solution of Question 66 Chapter 7 – Unimax Publication Class 12 Part 2-2021 : –

 Let total sales = x
Total sales = cash sales + credit sales
X = 2,00,000 + 75 X 3 x

X 3 x = 2,00,000

  4X- 3X x = 2,00,000

    x = ₹ 8,00,000
    GP = 25% of sales
  = 25 x 8,00,000

  = ₹ 2,00,000
N.P. = G.P – Indirect taxes
  = 2,00,000 – 50,000
  = 1,50,000
Net profit ratio = N.P. X 100  
Net Sales
  = 1,50,000 X 100
8,00,000
  = 18.75% Ans.
